Tofi D-ominates Season Finale with Four Sacks
Travis Tofi’s (University of Southern California) dominant four sack performance versus the Tri-Cities Fever put an exclamation point on a very successful inaugural 2007 season. Expect them to pick up in ’08 right where they left off as defensive stars Tofi, Levi Madarieta and Corey Dodds return to turn up the heat on opposing quarterbacks this season.

Harris’ Scorching Performance Burned Into the Record Book
Ahmad Harris (Louisiana Tech University) scorched the Stockton Lightning defense and set single-game franchise records for receptions (12), receiving yards (199), and receiving touchdowns (5). Returning offensive weapons Harris and Casey Allen ensure that the aerial attacks will continue in the upcoming ’08 season!

A Rivalry Is Born; Dodds Gets Downright Defensive
Following an emotional, heated first meeting between the Spokane Shock and the Boise Burn at Qwest Arena on May 19, the Burn traveled north with revenge in mind. Despite falling short on the scoreboard, Corey Dodds (University of Utah) was a defensive force, recovering two fumbles and returning one for a touchdown in the losing cause. Circle Saturday, June 7, on your calendars fans. Spokane is back in our house!

Bart Airs It Out With Back-to-Back Record Setting Performances
All he did was throw touchdown passes. The Bakersfield Blitz and the Central Valley Coyotes experienced Hendricks’ rocket arm first-hand as Bart lit up both teams with back-to-back 9 touchdown performances.

Standing-Room Only Crowd Witnesses Burn Football
Qwest Arena overflowed with nearly 5,500 frenzied football faithful stoked with anticipation. Opening night performances by fire dancers and the smokin’ Hanigan Hotshots as well as giveaways, games and free merchandise established Boise Burn football games as the ultimate in sports entertainment. Oh yeah… and the Burn throttled the Everett Hawks 70-34.

Burn Extinguish Fire in Debut
The Boise Burn strapped on their pewter helmets for the first time and silenced the hostile Louisville Fire fans with an impressive 57-52 win. Bart Hendricks connected with fellow Boise State University Alum, Lee Marks, for a 16-yard touchdown strike; the first in Boise Burn history!

Burn hire choreographer; select inaugural "Hotshots" dance team

With an impressive resume including stints as a dancer for the Denver Nuggets and Denver Broncos, Jaime Moore was selected as the “Hotshots” coordinator and choreographer. With the first set of auditions in the books, the 2007 “Hotshots” will have the temperature rising come opening night at the Qwest Arena.

Thousands of fans participate in contest, Boise Burn selected as team identity

On the field the team will play with all the energy, strength and power of a raging fire - one of the mightiest forces in nature. Off the field, the Burn will partner with local, state and federal agencies to promote fire awareness and safety. The team will launch community programs to educate children about the dangers of fire, while honoring city and wildland firefighters.

Boise awarded af2 franchise

The arenafootball2 League Office announces Boise, Idaho as an expansion franchise. Boise will compete in the 30 team league beginning in the spring of 2007.
